Home Energy Scotland provides free, impartial advice on making your home warmer, more affordable and greener. Whatever a personís circumstances and wherever they live in Scotland, Home Energy Scotland can help them.
Well over half of what people spend on fuel bills goes on heating and hot water. As energy costs go up, itís even more important to get bills down, particularly for the vulnerable and those on low incomes.
The Scottish Government has many programmes in place to help people with home energy, to tackle fuel poverty and make Scotland greener. People across Scotland could be eligible for help towards funding and fitting solid wall insulation, under floor insulation or double glazing; and installing new central heating systems and heating controls.
Our advisors can assess against which government initiatives householders qualify for, as well as giving personalised advice on how to make their own home more efficient. Help and information on renewables technology is also available; covering the technology itself and any financial assistance to help install it.
Advice is also available for communities, businesses, local authorities and the public sector to support people to take action and save energy
